DraftWise — Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 July 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of DraftWise, document-drafting software and the ijyalabs.in services (the "Service"), provided by IjyaLabs, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India ("IjyaLabs", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, activating, or using DraftWise, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Pricing, Payment & Refund terms, together with the End-User Licence Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy that form part of this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use DraftWise.

1. The Service

DraftWise helps you write, structure, style, review, version, and export documents. Your documents are stored in your own Google Drive; IjyaLabs does not store readable copies (see the Privacy Policy). DraftWise is a tool; it does not provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice (see §9).

2. Eligibility and account

You must be capable of entering a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 (generally 18+).
You access DraftWise using your own Google account; you are responsible for keeping it secure.
You are responsible for all activity under your account and devices.

3. Licensing, trial, and fees

DraftWise is commercial, freemium software: a free trial followed by paid plans, plus a permanent free review-only mode. Licensing, trial, device binding, and fees are governed by the End-User Licence Agreement and the Pricing, Payment & Refund terms.
Payments are processed by Razorpay; IjyaLabs does not store your full card details.
A paid licence operates offline for its term; only update checks require the internet. Read-only mode applies only on genuine expiry or revocation, never merely because you are offline.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the documents and content you create ("Your Content"). IjyaLabs claims no ownership.
Your Content lives in your Google Drive. You are responsible for your Google account, Drive availability, backups, and sharing choices.
You grant IjyaLabs only the limited, technical permissions needed to operate the Service on your device (for example, the drive.file scope to open and save the files you choose). We do not read, sell, or mine Your Content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to the Acceptable Use Policy. In summary: lawful use only; no reverse engineering, licence circumvention, resale, or abuse of the Service or other users.

6. Privacy and data

Your use is subject to the Privacy Policy, aligned with the DPDP Act 2023 (India) and, where applicable, the GDPR. Analytics and crash reporting are content-free and consent-based; licensing processes minimised personal data (a hashed device fingerprint and your account email) solely to enforce your licence.

7. Intellectual property

DraftWise, its software, templates, designs, trademarks, and the ijyalabs.in services are owned by IjyaLabs and protected by Indian and international law. Except for the limited licence granted to you in the End-User Licence Agreement, no rights are granted.

8. Service availability and changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may update, change, or discontinue features.
Feature updates are provided free while your licence or trial is active; security and compatibility fixes are provided to all installed copies, including expired ones.
We may modify these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email, with the updated effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

No professional advice. You are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, and suitability of documents you create. Templates and output are starting drafts only, are not binding until validly executed, and may be unsuitable for your facts or jurisdiction.
As-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, IjyaLabs disclaims all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement).
Limitation. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, IjyaLabs's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to DraftWise shall not exceed the amount you paid to IjyaLabs for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. IjyaLabs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill.
Third parties. IjyaLabs is not liable for failures of third-party services you rely on (Google Drive, Razorpay, your operating system, the internet).

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IjyaLabs and its developer(s) from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your use of DraftWise, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or on refund or chargeback. On termination your licence ends; your documents remain in your Google Drive.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Nagpur, Maharashtra, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction and shall be the only place of trial for any dispute. Formal legal notices to IjyaLabs must be served in writing in accordance with the IjyaLabs Company Policy.
